According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), over 37 million Americans, including more than 11 million children, are currently living in food-insecure households. Children are particularly vulnerable to food insecurity, with 1 in 6 children living in households that experience food insecurity. The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically worsened this issue and it continues to disproportionately affect communities of color, with Black and Hispanic households experiencing higher rates of food insecurity than other households. Hunger and food insecurity can have negative effects on health, including increased rates of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. This also affects children’s academic performance and does not let them reach their full potential. That’s why we are raising money for charitable organizations such as Feeding America which provided food assistance to over 40 million people in 2019.

Our mission at Full Plate Initiative is to combat food insecurity by raising awareness and funds to support individuals and communities in need. We believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and we are committed to fighting hunger by partnering with organizations, supporting initiatives, and raising awareness about the root causes of food insecurity. Through our collective efforts, we strive to create a world where no one goes hungry, and everyone has a full plate.

Please join our efforts by donating. Every dollar raised goes to Feeding America to allow them to provide food assistance to disadvantaged communities. To learn more about Full Plate Initiative and our mission, visit www.fullplateinitiative.org
